When can I use my points?
Pending points are still in the reward holding period. Available points can be used at checkout. Your account shows when rewards are released and when they expire.
What happens if the rental is refunded?
Rewards follow the eligible amount paid. A refund or cancellation can reduce or reverse the related points. The change is recorded in your account.

How Rentora stores your ID.
If a rental provider collects your ID through WhatsApp, the recipient can save it to a phone or forward it to someone else. Rentora collects KYC documents through your account, with encrypted storage and controlled review access.

WhatsApp protects personal messages with end-to-end encryption. The difference here is how a business stores and handles your ID after receiving it.
How the protection works
A separate key to read each file
OpenPGP encrypts each document image with our public key before storage. The matching private key is needed to decrypt it. A storage copy alone does not reveal the image.
Kept away from public website files
KYC images go into a private Cloudflare R2 bucket, separate from product photos and public assets. Document access goes through an authorised account.
The private key stays off the server
An authorised reviewer unlocks the documents in their browser using a private key and passphrase. The unlocked key stays in browser memory for up to 10 minutes and clears on a full reload or tab close.
Submission and review actions are recorded
KYC status changes and review actions leave an audit record. This helps us trace how a submission was processed, without putting document images into those logs.
These protections apply to document images in our KYC flow. Account and booking information is handled separately for your rentals. Reviewers can see a document while checking it; the private key and review access must still be protected.

Where can I pick up camera gear in Colombo?

Can I pick up gear today?
Same-day pickup is available. Choose your dates to check the gear, then confirm your pickup time with our team.
How long is one rental day?
One rental day is 24 hours from your pickup time. For example, 9 am today to 9 am tomorrow is one day.
What if I need an extra half-day?
Choose your exact return time. Standard pro rata rentals include the extra time without rounding up to another whole day. Check the item’s price, minimum period and any package terms before booking.
Do I need to verify my identity?
Yes. Complete the requested identity check in your account before pickup. The team reviews your submission and tells you if anything else is needed.
How do referral rewards and Aura differ?
Referrals can earn Rentora Points when friends complete eligible rentals. Aura tracks your own rental activity to determine your tier and available offers. Your account shows the current rules for each programme.
